Frequently Asked Questions

Why does L/100 km go down when MPG goes up?

MPG and km/L measure distance per fuel, where higher is better. L/100 km measures fuel used per distance, where lower is better.

Is this US MPG or UK MPG?

This converter uses US gallons for MPG. UK imperial MPG is different and can be added later as a separate option.

How precise are the conversions?

Conversions use standard factors and rounded display values. Keep more decimal places if you need engineering or scientific precision.

Are local unit differences included?
